Matt Black

     I’m Matt Black! I am Songs for Revival’s drummer and also assist in our audio

and video production. 

     I grew up in Northern Virginia and am a classically trained in drum set, concert

and marching percussion. In addition to playing drums, I also attended The

Conservatory of Recording Arts and Sciences in Phoenix, Arizona where I

completed the Master Recording Program II. Since finishing school I have filled

various roles within the live production side of the audio industry with my most

recent being the Technical Director at Allegheny Center Alliance Church on the Northside of Pittsburgh. 

     My involvement with SFR started through Adam contacting the church I work with looking for someone that could teach him how to record and mix the music for SFR. He and I started to get a game plan together and we started the recording and producing process. We recorded for about six months and then worked through the fall and early winter to get the music ready for distribution.
